The only replacement that keeps your jaw working.
An implant is a small titanium post placed into the jawbone where the root used to be. Once it has fused with the bone, a custom crown is fitted on top. The result behaves like a real tooth: you brush it, floss around it and chew on it normally.
The reason we favour implants over a bridge where possible is bone. A gap causes the jaw to shrink back over time, which changes the shape of your face and destabilises neighbouring teeth. An implant keeps loading the bone and stops that process.
The implant journey
Assessment
Imaging and a bite review to confirm there is enough healthy bone, and to plan the exact position.
Placement
The post is placed under local anaesthetic. Most patients describe it as easier than an extraction.
Healing
A few months while the bone fuses to the implant. You will have a temporary solution in the meantime.
The crown
A custom crown is made and fitted, shade-matched to your surrounding teeth.

Still unsure about something? Call (903) 630-7357 and talk it through with our team.
Am I a candidate?
Most healthy adults are. The main factors are enough bone, controlled gum health, and no uncontrolled medical conditions. We will tell you honestly at the assessment.
How long do implants last?
The implant itself is designed to be permanent. The crown on top is a wearing part and may need replacing eventually, much like a crown on a natural tooth.
Is it painful?
The placement is done numb, and most people manage afterwards with over-the-counter pain relief. We will give you clear aftercare instructions and a number to call.
